SAP S/4HANA Transition Lead

FC Europe is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Transition Lead to work closely with 3rd Party Delivery Team who are building a customised ERP Platform based on S/4 HANA for our operations in Brazil. The ideal candidate will have extensive SAP expertise, particularly in S4/HANA projects, and a proven track record of delivering successful SAP implementations. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure a seamless transition to S/4HANA.


The candidate must possess excellent English and Portuguese written and verbal communication skills and ideally have experience working in the Mining or Natural Resources industry.

Responsabilidades e atribuições

  1. Project Leadership:
  2. Act as the Customer Lead ensuring the delivered solution aligns to all business and technical requirements.
  3. Take ownership of all Customer-side responsibilities that form part of the delivery schedule and approach. (Requirements reviews, Design reviews, Testing, Commissioning).
  4. Lead and drive all business and operational readiness requirements to ensure a successful outcome, and that the delivered solution is embedded into the business and properly sustained.
  5. Ensure all Customer-side project milestones are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
  6. Contribute to the development and execute a detailed implementation strategy, including system design, data migration, testing, and go-live activities – and challenge 3rd Party Delivery Team assumptions where needed to ensure all business and technical requirements are met
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and external consultants, to align migration goals with business objectives.
  8. Technical Expertise:
  9. Provide expert guidance on SAP S/4HANA functionality, architecture, and best practices.
  10. Oversee data migration processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy during the transition.
  11. Identify and resolve technical challenges related to the migration process.
  12. Stakeholder Management:
  13. Act as the primary point of contact for all SAP migration-related activities.
  14. Communicate project updates, risks, and progress to senior management and stakeholders in both English and Portuguese.
  15. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of S/4HANA by end-users.
  16. Risk Management:
  17. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions during the migration process.
  18. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  19. Post-Migration Support:
  20. Provide post-go-live support to address any issues and optimize system performance.
  21. Work with business teams to ensure the new system meets operational needs and drives efficiency.
  22. Operational Readiness
  23. Develop a detailed and robust Operational Readiness Plan, and implement against that plan, to ensure the delivered solution is properly integrated into the business in a sustainable manner.

Requisitos e qualificações

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 8+ years of SAP experience, with a strong focus on S/4HANA projects.
  • Proven track record of leading successful SAP projects, preferably in the mining or natural resources industry.
  • Experience with SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and PM is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and functionality
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address technical challenges during migration.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and verbal) is mandatory.
  • Certifications:
  • SAP S/4HANA certification is highly preferred.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the mining or natural resources industry, including its operational and business processes.
  • Experience working in a global or multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of integration with third-party systems and tools commonly used in the mining industry.
